How to manage your time as a busy mom

In this fast paced world that will live in now, we almost want everything given to us fast, like our fast foods. We’re driving fast everywhere because we figure we have to hurry up and get there. We want this instant lavish lifestyle with luxury cars, homes, perfect kids and a spouse.

We want everything quick fast and a hurry & perfect but are we taking the necessary steps and most of all are we managing our time in order to have what we want efficiently. You might be wondering, “what does managing my time have to do with getting the things that I want right away.”

Well, it has everything to do with it especially if you are already a mom and a busy mom at that. If you feel like you don’t have enough time in the day to finish or do anything, then you have to understand, you need to manage your time more wisely to get where you want to be in life.

As a single mompreneur, I know how it is to have to do most of my responsibilities all by myself. It can be frustrated and hard at times but with the time management tools that I use, I can manage my day and be successful with getting everything I set out to do that day. if you have one successful day, you can have many that can and will lead to successful months years and those in your business and life especially as a busy mom.

Some things that are important for you to consider when starting out to use effective time management strategies is to know, what are your top priorities and top income producing activity priorities that need to be done that day? This is a step by step process because if you want to buy a car most of us are not going to be able to do it in one day. So you need a plan as well to get there.

Five steps you need to take are:

1. Write your plans and set your goals
2. Identify your top priorities to break up the goals each day
3. Manage your time by setting the dates you want to meet.
4. Segment your time for each set task you want to finish.
5. Move on to the next goal, wash, rinse and repeat.

Summer activities with your kids


Don’t have a clue what you will be doing with your kids this summer?
Running out of ideas? The kids aren’t cooperating because they are bored and the activities seem redundant to them?
Well I have some easy low cost interactive activities that your kids will love & enjoy this summer.

1. List all activities

First list all the activities that your kids like or said they would like to do this summer whether you can afford it or not.
Next, take those thoughts from your kids and put it on your list and be open to the ones that seem reasonable and affordable.
Then, try at least one thing new that you didn’t do last year.
Next, be creative and think outside of the box. If your kids said lets go to Disney Land then that’s up to your discretion. But also keep in mind that you want your kids to at least have one memorable story to tell their friends when they go back to school. Surely that would really help boost confidence in them.
But if you can’t go or can’t afford it this year at the moment then, don’t worry find out what they love most from Disney land and create that fantasy for them and incorporate it in their daily activities. do this to all the activities you may not be able to do or go to this year. Trust me they will appreciate it.
Lastly plan activities from Sunday through Saturday according to your schedule; such as:

2. Daily Schedule:

Monday: Game Day-learn a new game every week (cards, chess, puzzles, etc.)

Tuesday: Adventure favorite book reading- Let your kid/kids read to everyone their favorite chapter in their favorite book and then have them try to act it out and/or pick actors out for that particular scene in that one chapter.

Wednesday: Bike ride outing-Go for a bike hike up your local path and ride up there and once you hit the top have a picnic ready for lunch or an early dinner.

Thursday: Creative Craft Day-Make something out of Play-dough. Everyone likes Play dough even adults. Challenge them to make a playhouse, a type of food, anything fun. Then give a prize to the most creative.

Friday: Mall Hang out (especially for teenagers) Going to different scenery’s helps kids to enjoy themselves most especially learn something new. For the little one;s go to the section where they can play called the kid’s area and if you have pre-teens and teenagers they can go check out their favorite stores and then after everyone gets ice-cream. Can’t go wrong with ice-cream.

Saturday: Karaoke: In the house, don’t worry, in the comfort of your home you can play Karaoke. You don’t have to have a karaoke machine you can pretend and everyone can take turns singing their favorite songs with YouTube if they don’t know the lyrics.

Sunday: Mommy and Me Chef Day: Cook something easy and something everyone likes (bake cookies and ice-cream for desert or something healthy for the kids to learn).

There you go! Don’t make it as hard as it seems. Family is a gift especially being able to make the most out of spending time together. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, if you want that then make it happen if not then keep it simple.

Clearing away What no Longer Serves You

What is holding you back? Have you ever wondered what is truly holding you back?
Could it be your baggage…. and no I am not talking about your luggage bags! But the baggage you allow in your life whether it is emotionally, negativity that drowns out your spirituality, being physically stagnant and/or is it someone in your life that is holding you back?

Can you honestly say that what you are holding onto can honestly serve you for your highest good?

As you are thinking about those questions, lets actually start to call out those names to those things to bring it to the surface. What lingers in the dark cannot be found and healed; therefore when you bring it to the light then everything gets clear and solutions starts to emerge.

So for yourself it might be a small thing such as quitting your job because of negative co-workers to pursue your entrepreneur dreams, getting out of old relationships or even changing your diet. is it cleaning and organizing your closet or work space in your office or home?

Lets say it is relationships. Who ever you allow yourself to be around heavily influences a lot of your outcome and results of who you actually want to become. Knowing this allows you to look at who those influencers are and let go of the ones or keep far from those who are not going in the direction you want to go in life.

it could be the certain diet that you are consuming. Most people don’t know, it’s what you put in your body that determines your health, emotionally and of course physically. it determines whether you will have a clear mind and able to focus on what truly matters. It determines if you will make the right decisions and have self esteem, be more happy and confident!

For myself I am a vegan if you didn’t know. I know what you are thinking; ” I got to have my meat” and that’s great, to each their own. But for me, meat no longer served me, if it ever did. Meat stays in your body for almost three days and can slow down the digestion system. I am a blood type A and for those types we are not able to digest meat properly because a blood type A does not have sufficient acid to do so. This is something that obviously didn’t serve me. What is it for you concerning your diet?

What ever it is, clearing things out of your life that no longer serves you is essential to living a joyous, abundant, fluid life. It will unlock the pathway to success and allow you to feel better and think clearer and be happy. Ultimately, you will be more able to attract what you want as well.

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed, like you are all over the place? Do you feel like you need to get away from all of the stress in your life? Can’t get enough time in one day? Do you feel that you need balance? Well I will be the one to tell you balance is possible!

 

All of us sometimes feel what I described above maybe because of our kids, spouse, school work or even our job is giving us stress. You probably don’t know what to do anymore…right? You have to make hard decisions; “do I need to spend more time with my family or do I continue to work 60+ hours a week to support them? Do I skip or push back my vacation from work or do I go on vacation to relax and pamper myself because I am worthy of it?

 

Today is the day to reclaim and align yourself with the balance you need in your life now!  You want to allow more joy, peace, happiness, clarity, ease and focus and more successful outcomes especially relationships with everyone in your life? How can I achieve this you ask?

 

Incorporating the necessary help, tools, guidance, support and strategies in your life will definitely help. Using mediation, proper nutrition, exercising even prioritizing and delegating would be extremely helpful.  Putting this in place will enable you to feel more confidence that your life is back on track and feeing more happy and worry free.

 

Meditating at least 10 minutes a day is proven to be good for your mental and physical well being. There is a reason why it’s been around for thousands of years.  Also, it helps with sleep, disease, pain management, to control emotions , lower stress, let us get to know our true self, can make you get better performance at work, more focused even when you’re not actively meditating, save money, go less to the doctor, lowers depression in women’s pregnancy, strategy for weight lost plus you will sleep better. All these benefits are worth it.

 

Eating a proper diet can be as simple as starting to be more aware of your eating habits. Do you eat periodically with at least 6 meals (including two snacks)? Do you add vegetables to your dishes, are you eating a variety of colors in your diet. Do you get enough water for what your individual body needs? Going over this simple check list can and will enhance your overall nutrition intake. Your body will thank you by functioning properly. You will become more happy, energized and clear for the day ahead of you.

 

We all know that exercise is one of the best ways to help combat stress; less stress means no dis-ease-es!

By adding exercise 3 times a week with only 30 minutes this will improve your overall self confidence, more energy and even better looking in appearance.

 

For us mothers, especially single mothers with careers we need a system that works easily and effortlessly right? So my first suggestion is to find affordable ways to delegate tasks, to such as family members, teenagers if you have them, once a week hiring a maid/cook. Join a mama’s group for support and have a girl’s night out at least once a month to let loose and have fun.

 

Prioritizing our lives with family should be a priority even though it may seem that you don’t have time. How to use Effective Emotional Management

The three major management skills to have is Time Management, Money Management and Emotional Management. Emotional management ties it all together. Without emotional management it will be hard to manage the other two.
If you are wondering why you are not having success in time management and money management, it’s because you haven’t learnt how to manage your emotions. The root cause of self sabotage is allowing yourself to be overtaken by your negative emotions.

Emotional barriers stunts an individual most of the time when a person allow it to get in the way of their success. What is your number one emotion that takes away your time, money and even from relationships? Usually what it does when you are having an emotional break out is first stop you in your tracks of getting ahead, hinders you fro communicating effectively and paralyze your from your successful outcomes.

Why you should become Vegan this fall

Becoming a vegan this fall might sound a little extreme or the idea period might seem impossible. But since this is one of the latest talks amongst your friends, family members and even in the media, it has become popular not because it’s just something else to do but because becoming a vegan this fall have a lot of benefits and can allow you to lose weight and gain better health.

Personally, I have been a vegan for about 5 years and before that a vegetarian for about 5 years as well. Although it worked for me to the extent I took it further to change my life style around my healthy eating. This may or may not be for everyone but if an individual wants to regenerate reignite, reset their bodies form an unhealthy life style to a more healthier lifestyle then being a vegan for the Fall could be a great idea.

There are many myths about being a vegan that doesn’t help shine a light on what it really is and how it can help your overall health; applying more vegetables and natural grains and more natural sugars in your life such as fruits is beneficial. Every edible food you consume should be organic (no pesticides or GMO’s).

Going cold turkey might not work for everyone but if you slowly but surely add more vegetables to your healthy eating lifestyle and less meat, fish or poultry, you will eventually get there.

A vegan diet is also packed with nutrition. It incorporates a massive amount of protein, iron, calcium, fiber, vitamin C etc. Therefore the myth about a vegan diet has no protein is only a myth. There are a lot of sources where you can get your protein without it being from animals; such as meat-less vegan cheese, meat-less crumble, tofurky, meat-less chicken, steak and veggie burgers also from your vegetables and grains.

By incorporating more life foods such as vegetables, to your healthy lifestyle, you can start helping your digestive system to perform better and to lose that stubborn weight that just won’t leave or it can result to a flatter stomach.

Lastly, being a vegan this fall can help your overall health, you will sleep better, think clearer, make better decisions, heal your body, lose weight, and be happier, calm, a more confident human being and so much more.

It also sees that everybody is benefiting in some shape or form from it. It involves spirituality and an awareness consciousness as well.

I think everyone should become a Purposeful Entrepreneur; we are in need of more leaders that are paving the way to a purposeful filled life and influence.
